To cope with this climate, some parts of our layer cage are made with a special material that helps to prevent rust and this process is called the galvanizing process. Due to local terrain and land constraints

We have created a measurement on how to construct your pullet and layer chicken house, the size of the pullet house is 60.0m x 7.0m x 3.0m, using 2 rows 3 tiers of pullet cage to raise 12,000 birds pullet. Layer house size is 50.0m x 14.0m x 4.0m, using 4 rows 3 tiers layer cage to raise 14,000 birds layer. Our layer cage and other poultry equipment have been recognized by customers. At present, we have provided customers with 3 houses for pullet and 3 houses layer making use of our layer and pullet cage

When planning an integrated layer and pullet project, the most important issue is to secure the ability to supply a uniform quantity of eggs to the market at any given time. The best way to do this is by constructing one pullet and layer house that will provide three cycles of mature pullets for three layer houses during a one-year period. This method ensures uniform level of egg supply throughout the year, and optimal usage of the pullet house

Usefulness of the layer cage

1. Increases egg production

A chicken that is healthy will significantly become more productive than chickens reared in environments that do not boost their health. Enriched battery cages increase the potential of egg production in chickens. In fact, recent estimations reveal that sixty percent of eggs used in products such as mayonnaise, sandwiches and cakes are from chickens reared in battery cages. This reveals that chickens have more tendencies to produce eggs in battery cages compared to other rearing systems. It is more advisable to use battery cages to aid egg production

2. Chick culling

Due to modern selective breeding, laying hen strains are different from those of meat production strains. Male birds of the laying strains do not lay eggs and are unsuitable for meat production. Therefore, they are culled soon after being sexed, often on the day of hatching. Methods of culling include cervical dislocation, asphyxiation by carbon dioxide and maceration using a high speed grinder

 3. Debeaking

To reduce the harmful effects of feather pecking, cannibalism and vent pecking, most chicks eventually going into battery cages are beak-trimmed. This is often performed on the first day after hatching, simultaneously with sexing and receiving vaccinations. Beak-trimming is a procedure considered by many scientists to cause acute pain and distress with possible chronic pain. It is practiced on chicks for all types of housing systems, not only battery cages

4.  Low cost of labour

The battery cage reduces labour by the poultry farmer. This is because the chickens are well-organized and conducted to be in rows with several facilities for their feeding, carriers of their faeces droppings adequately positioned and the eggs rolling to the appropriate places designed in the battery cages. The poultry farmer will simply do the job of pouring food and water in the designated areas, cleaning the faeces that drop and packing the eggs.  This reduces stress for the farmer and the need to employ many workers for poultry farms will be minimized. In the long run, poultry farming will be more rewarding for the poultry workers
